Ceramics has always been a field that fascinates me. The techniques are so numerous and the range of possibilities so vast…

Alongside painting, I enjoy working with materials and three-dimensional forms.

The paradox of this material, so malleable yet so hard and fragile once fired. The pleasant sensation of the softness of the malleable clay under the fingers, but which proves so demanding, a true school of patience due to the numerous steps and gestures it requires.

To shape the pieces, I use all the techniques available to me, such as wheel throwing, slab building, and pinching. Each offers different possibilities. My pieces are primarily decorative. I try to extend the work and gestures I use in painting. Glazes, of course, react differently from paint, and chemistry plays an important role in the final result.

It is in order to explore other possibilities and play with the magic of fire and its surprises that I like to use the Raku technique.

The crackling and smoking create surprises. The chemical modifications give magical iridescence to the enamels.

Each piece is therefore unique.
